The History: A PACTS Journey towards Strategy Execution philosophy and approach

Like any organization, PACTS evolved over the past few years. One of our original thought pieces considered the journey that leader need to take to implement their ideas successfully.

Thought Leadership:
With constant new information generation within an uncertain environment, previous expertise and knowledge become obsolete fast. We assisted business leaders to stimulate thought leadership through our network of experts, some who work outside the traditional business context.

Design Mastery
Leaders have to be able to translate their vision into focused strategic intent, which has to be expanded into clear strategic objectives, as well as the scope for strategy (who has to deliver, areas of execution and responsibility, portfolio). Design mastery employs not only analytical thinking processes, but requires whole brain thinking, combining logical, rational thinking processes with intuitive pattern sensing.

Deployment mastery:
Deployment is the "missing link" in strategy execution. Through effective deployment, strategic intent is translated into meaningful context at the right levels of work, providing for simultaneous organizational structuring, communication and change management. Roles and responsibilities are clarified, and organizational resources are perfectedly aligned towards achieving strategic objectives. Social collaboraton technology platforms create transparency and opportunities to collaborate across and outside organizational borders.

Execution mastery:
Excution failure is a high risk faced by any executive team. This statement is born from comprehensive research that execution is still on the top of CEO's minds, in particular considering that, globally, 40% of strategy is lost through ineffective implementation. It is also a fact that business schools and traditional leadership development programs do not effectivelyteach these skills as they are developed through years of experience.

We cultivate a mindset and develop techniques based on Waves of Impact, which ensure agility and delivery of high impact, visible deliverables to build individual and organizational confidence and credibility. Our approach originates in deep turnaround experience and the Transitions Leadership approaches from Harvard Business School.
